Hardly the same thing.
– Pokemon Shield / Sword costs $60, not $70
– The $120 double pack is entirely optional. You can still play the most recent/best version on the most recent Nintendo hardware for $60.
– Nintendo didn’t release the double pack during a console transition (with extreme shortages) in a time window where people would be looking to move from one generation to another. Sony are cashing in on the fact that people cannot get a PS5, and don’t want to wait an unknown amount of time to play Horizon.
– The $120 double pack gives you two copies of the game, so you can easily sell one / give one to a friend if you just wanted a steelcase. Even the digital version is re-sellable. You cannot sell your PS4 copy of Horizon after you get your PS5.
