TL;DR: Revamp family game night with the Llama Drama Card Game, on sale for $9.99 — a 60% discount — as of Sept. 9.

If Kristen Bell and Dax Shepard’s new show Family Game Fight has you itching to partake in some good old-fashioned family fun, you’re going to need more than just a deck of cards or Monopoly. Expand your game arsenal with some new and exciting options, like the Llama Drama Card Game. It’s a blast for family members ages seven and up, and it’s on sale for 60% off to boot.

The rules of the game are simple: get rid of all of your cards and you win. It sounds easy enough, but once you throw the llama hierarchy into the mix, things get a bit…dramatic.

Instead of just a hierarchy of numbers like most card games, Llama Drama also has a hierarchy of llamas, including the Baby Llama, Shy Llama, Big Llama, Magic Llama, and Ghost Llama. You can play with two to four players with one deck or up to eight with two decks. Each player gets three cards face-down, three cards face-up, and five cards in their hand to start. The remaining cards stay face-down as the Draw Pile and you’ll leave some space on the table for a Play Pile and Discard Pile. The first player plays any card to start the Play Pile. And on each turn, you must beat or match the top card of the Play Pile.

The higher numbered llamas beat lower-numbered llamas, of course, but Special Llamas have their own rules. Don’t worry; you’ll find the rules on the cards themselves, in case you forget. There are some curveballs thrown into the mix to make things more interesting. For example, if someone plays Shy Llama, the next player can only play cards numbered one through four, or any Special Llama card except for Big Llama.

Is it luck or is it strategy? Find out by playing a hand or two yourself. Llama Drama is sure to become a staple for your family game nights. And for a limited time, you can snag the game on sale for just $9.99 (regularly $24).
