Watch BTS dance down the aisles of the U.N. General Assembly Hall

BTS are almost regulars at the U.N. now. The K-pop superstars made history with a moving speech by group leader RM in 2018, and now they’ve returned to not only draw attention to the progress of the U.N.’s Sustainable Development Goals but dance down the actual aisles of the hallowed (and notably empty) U.N. General Assembly Hall in New York.

The performance of “Permission to Dance” was part of BTS’ involvement in an annual event called the SDG Moment, which is meant “to showcase the bold plans, actions and solutions that are needed to end the COVID-19 pandemic and set the world on course towards achieving the SDGs.”

BTS were officially appointed by South Korean president Moon Jae-in as the Special Presidential Envoy for Future Generations and Culture, and gave a presentation as such at the 76th U.N. General Assembly session.

It’s just a treat to see RM, Jimin, Jungkook, Suga, Jin, V, and J-Hope dancing all over the aisles and into the foyer. They definitely would have needed permission to dance this time — but they obviously got it.
