Leaked Samsung Galaxy S22 Ultra renders updated

TL;DR

  • The leaked Samsung Galaxy S22 Ultra renders have been slightly updated.
  • The camera module does not extend all the way across, which previously created a “P” shape.
  • This new possible design might be more aesthetically pleasing.

One of the most distinctive aspects of the new Samsung Galaxy S22 Ultra design is its “P” shaped rear camera module. This was pretty divisive for Android Authority readers. Today, though, the original source of the renders (Steve Hemmerstoffer, aka @OnLeaks) issued updated versions. This new version splits the camera module into two distinct halves, which might be more pleasing to the eye for some.

In the image at the top of this article, you can see the difference. The one on the left is the new design and the one on the right is how we originally saw it last week.

Following @UniverseIce comments on my #GalaxyS22Ultra, I asked my sources to investigate.
Seems a prototype w/ uniform body frame indeed exist but I got no confirmation on the camera housing design.
Nonetheless, here two updated renders depicting these prospective differences. pic.twitter.com/14bNzFxqDP

Of course, these Samsung Galaxy S22 Ultra renders are leaks, so they were never guaranteed to be 100% accurate. Who knows what other revelations could come in the future as far as what they look like and how they work. For now, though, you’ll need to decide if the “old” design is better or worse than the “new” one — and then wait for the formal announcement to see which one is closer to the correct answer.
