Microsoft has previously announced official figures in January and these were detailed as active subscribers. This is how subscribers are reported throughout the tech industry.
The cumulative number of people who didn’t renew their paid subscription or $1 trial in the last 4 years, is likely way higher than 12 million, and even 30 mil.
