We all know Ken Block by now. The professional rally driver turned Hoonigan is famous for his Gymkhana videos where he tears around in heavily modified Fords. His Gymkhana videos have garnered quite a bit of attention, and he’s back at it again. This time he’s in his modified Ford Escort Mk2.

In the latest Gymkhana-related video, he’s supposedly tire testing for the Gymkahna Grid competition that’s supposed to come back to the United States in November of this year. We say tire testing, but what it really looks like he’s doing is tearing around an empty parking lot and having a ton of fun. Maybe there’s a purpose here, but does it matter?

The Escort you’ll see in the video has been modified extensively, with a 330-horsepower four-cylinder engine that revs to 9,000 rpm driving the rear wheels. It was also give a custom widebody kit by Kei Miura from Rocketbunny and a sweet matte block look with an American flag on the hood. Yes, they put an American flag on a car that was never sold here. Because America, baby.

Check out the video above and marvel at this man’s level of skill and his commitment to, umm, testing.
