A new style of Google Pixel 6 wallpapers could be known as “Bloom.” We’ve actually already seen some of them before — remember the floral arrangement images? Well, it appears there’s a lot more to them than just nice pictures of flowers.
According to the APK teardown, these are actually part of a new live parallax wallpaper feature. Using a series of controls, you can tweak the blur effects of these backgrounds to suit your taste. You can also swap between light and dark versions of each image.

Leaked Google Pixel wallpapers known as “Bloom”
Once you have selected which image you want as your background, you can then tweak it out. You can increase or decrease the blur effect, which essentially post-manipulates the photo’s depth of field. You can see it in action in the YouTube clip below.
Unfortunately, it appears this new Google Pixel 6 wallpapers feature is locked to specific images supplied by Google (photographed by Andrew Zuckerman). Of course, it’s totally possible more images could get added in the future, maybe even some that step away from the floral theme. It’s even possible there could be a method in the works to use your own images. We’ll need to wait and see.
The Google Pixel 6 series will launch on October 19, which is only a few days away. Get ready!
