TL;DR: As of Oct. 28, Shark vacuums are on sale as an early Black Friday deal of the day at Amazon. Save up to 47%.

It’s hard to say for certain whether a Roomba or a Shark is the better robot vacuum. The age-old question probably has a different answer for each person — it really depends on your floor type and budget.

But we can pretty much confirm this: Shark’s early Black Friday deals are destroying iRobot (and Dyson, for that matter). Not only does Amazon have a hefty handful of Shark vacuums on sale, but the discounts are also big: between 30% and 47%. Models range from upright vacuums (including some steam mops), robot vacuums, and one cordless stick vacuum.

Below are our favorite deals from the sale, all of which are beloved by reviewers.

Shark’s most spacious self-emptying vacuum has about half the dirt capacity of the priciest Roomba, but with this deal, you could get three Shark RV1001AE vacs for the price of one Roomba s9+. Plus, powerful suction, reliable navigation with specific room targeting, and a self-cleaning brushroll aren’t features you can typically get near the $300 price point.

We love the chance to drop a top-tier brand like Shark into the “cheap robot vacuums” category. The AV970 goes to town on all floor types, offering more suction than older RV700 models. It’ll cover all the floor it can in 90 minutes, clean its own brush roll, then return to its dock to charge.

The Shark take on the lightweight stick model goes for around $70 less than models from Dyson’s base V8 line. The IZ36DH uses PowerFins technology to deliver continuous contact with floors, actively engaging with carpets or rugs to ensure stubborn pieces of debris aren’t skipped over. You’ll get 40 minutes of power on one charge.
