Are you feeling the feminine urge to read this article?

It’s the latest meme taking over your Twitter feeds and TikTok FYPs, and if you’re confused, we’ve got you.

The trend consists of the phrase “the feminine urge to,” followed by statements often associated with the universal experience of womanhood. But this meme isn’t just funny; it’s also relatable. It’s a way for women to voice the societal pressures they face, like “the feminine urge to achieve everything in your life before 25,” according to one Twitter account.

On TikTok @nosebleedfitz posted, “the feminine urge to cause chaos is pretty strong today. I don’t know how I am going to deal with it yet.” Her video garnered nearly 800,000 views and over 180,000 likes. There are over 200 videos made using her sound where women have added their own examples of the feminine chaos they cause. Women on the app are also posting videos in which they describe their feminine urges.

There are also popular tweets of nonbinary and masculine urges, adding to the trend. Because the urge to tweet is the most powerful of them all.

As with any meme the funniest ones are specific and accurate. Here are a few of our favorites.

The trend is similar to the “hot girls” meme from earlier in the year, in which TikTokkers used Megan Thee Stallion’s “Girls in the Hood” to share banal things they jokingly find attractive, like “hot girls barely post on insta.”

In conclusion, hot girls always embrace their feminine urges.
