The Xbox Series X and S naming convention is confusing and so typically Microsoft that it hurts

I guess they don’t really care, that’s why they are just trying to put “CHEAPEST + NEXT GEN” in the same sentence.

By November, if you go on Amazon you will be offered:

Xbox One S
XBox One S Digital Edition
Xbox One X (discontinued but still available)
Xbox Series S
Xbox Series X

Will people really know what this means?

Also curious to see how flagship titles designed for Series X will run on Series S 🤔

Games like the new Horizon or Ratchet and Clank would probably take a hit if designed to run on hardware with 1/3 the graphical power of the main console.
