Rather than following that small trench in the sand made by walking sims before it, Call of the Sea has a greater interest in balancing immersive storytelling and challenging puzzles than I anticipated. It doesn’t always succeed in these respects – occasionally to the point of frustration – but this developer’s debut voyage is a damn good time.”
