Oddworld Abe’s Oddysee and Exoddus on PS1 are phenomenal games. Play them anywhere you can find them. They still hold up today and I cannot recommend them enough.
Munch and Stranger are mediocre at best and the New n Tasty remake ruined the originals’ charm and visual appeal.
For SoulStorm… This game sucks ass. I cannot believe how bad it is from both a pacing perspective and its gameplay. The chapter format makes it arcadey. The crafting and item system makes its sluggish. The enemy AI is frustrating. Exoddus was a puzzle platformer with really creative secrets and the gameplay flowed so well. This game is so poorly designed that the biggest enemy is the game controls and design itself.
Original two games are 10s. These new ones are not. New n Tasty is a 7 at best but SoulStorm is the worst game in the series and an embarrassment to Oddworld.
