TL;DR

  • Xiaomi has announced a launch event for September 15.
  • We’re guessing that the company will launch the Mi 11T series on the day.

Xiaomi has offered plenty of gadgets this year already, such as its numerous Mi 11 devices, the Redmi Note 10 family, its long-overdue Mi Pad 5 tablets, and a ton of smart home products. Now, the company has announced that it’s holding yet another launch next month.

The manufacturer revealed a September 15 date for a new product launch, although it didn’t give any clues in its Twitter post. Check out the image below.

Xiaomi 15 September 2021 launch

We’re guessing that the oft-rumored Mi 11T series will debut at the event at the very least. This will be the latest in Xiaomi’s relatively new T series of phones. 2019 marked the debut of the Mi T series, namely the Mi 9T and Mi 9T Pro, being rebranded Redmi K20 series phones. Xiaomi then delivered the Mi 10T family last year, in the form of the Mi 10T Lite, Mi 10T, and Mi 10T Pro.

If the Mi 11T series is anything like the Mi 10T family, then we’re expecting vanilla, Lite, and Pro models too. Rumors also point to the vanilla and Pro phones gaining 120Hz displays, a Dimensity 1200 chipset for the vanilla device, and a Snapdragon 888 SoC for the Pro variant.

What else could Xiaomi potentially have up its sleeve? Well, it’s believed that the firm is readying a second foldable phone, but this is apparently tipped to arrive in Q4. We wouldn’t count out any smart home products though, especially as the firm is also set to hold its Smarter Living 2022 event on August 26 in India.
