‘Obi-Wan Kenobi’ star Moses Ingram describes what Jedi school is like

Can someone send me to Jedi school, please, thanks, much obliged.

Obi-Wan Kenobi star Moses Ingram’s been, of course, to learn the coveted skills of lightsabery as the latest to wield one in a Star Wars production.

Ingram, who plays Reva Sevander aka the Third Sister in the Disney+ series, told Jimmy Kimmel on Tuesday she didn’t know she’d be getting a lightsaber until the first day of Jedi school, and described the kinds of things they teach you in the hallowed halls of Star Wars stunts.

“I wasn’t even linked to wires the first time I ran across a wall,” she said. “They had two barriers and I’m supposed to launch myself over this one and do it running across this one. It’s hard to picture but it was fly.”

Ingram praised her co-star Ewan McGregor for his long-tuned Jedi school skills — he started doing this 23 years ago for 1999’s Episode I: The Phantom Menace, after all. “He’s so talented, man. I came in there the first day and that dust is off his shoulder and I’m just trying to keep it in my hand,” she said.

I’m not being cast in a Star Wars movie anytime soon, but I could attend lightsaber school.

Obi-Wan Kenobi is now streaming on Disney+.
