Save up to $42: As of Dec. 20, you can score FIFA 23 on PS5 for $34.99 at Best Buy,(opens in a new tab) and on Xbox Series X for $29.97 at Walmart(opens in a new tab). That’s a savings of 50% and 57%, respectively.

Soccer fever hit its peak following Argentina’s recent World Cup victory. While the action may have ended for now, you can keep the thrill of the competition and last-minute goals going at home with FIFA 23, now on sale for PS5 and Xbox.

As of Dec. 20, FIFA 23 for PS5(opens in a new tab) is available for $34.99 at Best Buy, and the Xbox Series X(opens in a new tab) version is on sale for $29.97 at Walmart. The listing price is $69.99 on both game iterations, so that’s a savings of 50% and 57%, respectively. That’s a great deal for a game that was released less than three months ago.

EA Sports releases a new version of the game annually, and this edition comes with several upgrades from FIFA 22. The game’s HyperMotion2 technology makes gameplay and athletes’ movements feel very lifelike. The animations — and notably the players’ faces — carry that extra bit of detail that makes them recognizable without taking a peek at their vests. This is also the first game in the FIFA series that allows you to compete as one of the women’s club teams, and even though that addition feels like too little too late, it’s definitely a step in the right direction.

For those looking for some variety, the Volta Football mode allows you to play an intense, fast-paced game with a minimum of three and a maximum of five players per team on a smaller pitch. The game also includes FIFA World Cup modes for both men and women, the latter introduced to hype up the upcoming global women’s competition in Australia and New Zealand in 2023.

FIFA 23 is also the final title in the gaming series to include FIFA’s branding (the next iteration will be called EA SPORTS FC), so it’s a great keepsake gift for your nostalgic soccer buddies. Although the American men’s team may still be lightyears away from landing World Cup glory, you can still try to conquer this impossible task from the comfort of your couch.
