Do you know much Philly slang? If you don’t, then you’re in the same boat as Stephen Colbert.

During Tuesday night’s Late Show, the host received an education from Abbott Elementary creator and Philadelphia native Quinta Brunson, who takes him through local terms such as “jawn” (“A person, place, thing, or idea — some would call it a noun”) and “mac machine” (“A mac machine is the same thing as an ATM”).

You learn something new every day.
