Xbox Velocity Green Controller Officially Announced, Available Now

There’s no shortage of Xbox controllers available in a wide selection of colors right now, but if you’ve been patiently waiting for a very green version of the controller to hit the market, then today is your lucky day. Microsoft has officially revealed the Velocity Green Xbox wireless controller, which takes the familiar design of that peripheral and applies the signature green color of the gaming brand to it.

Thanks to its eye-catching and vibrant design, you probably won’t find it hard to spot in your home. The neon green color is complemented by tiny drops of blue, red, yellow, and a different shade of green around the face buttons. This particular controller will cost you $65, and is now available for purchase at the Microsoft Store.

Beyond that attention-grabbing color scheme, this is still the same excellent Xbox controller that was introduced with the Xbox Series X|S generation of consoles. It has a textured grip on the triggers, bumpers, and back case, the new hybrid D-pad is an improvement over the last generation of controllers, and a reliable battery life through a rechargeable unit (sold separately) or standard AA batteries will keep you gaming for a long time.

One of the biggest improvements with this controller is the inclusion of a dedicated Share button, as you can now more easily grab screenshots and video of your gaming session and share these moments online. The controller also works well on other platforms, as its Bluetooth technology allows for wireless gaming on your PC and mobile devices.

If Velocity Green isn’t to your liking, there are currently some great deals on right now for the Electric Volt Xbox controller ($49 instead of its usual $65) and the beefy PowerA Fusion Pro 2 wired controller ($59 instead of $90).
