Ubisoft Forward 2023: Start Times, How To Watch, And What Games To Expect

June 6, 2023

We’re now in the deep end of Not-E3 season, and between showcases from some of the biggest names in the industry, livestreams for wholesome games, and Devolver Digital planning something, Ubisoft Forward is making a return. This is the French company’s biggest summer show, an annual blowout of trailers and new game debuts that inform fans of what they can expect in the months to come.

As usual, Ubisoft has a lot of games in development across PC, consoles, and mobile devices. Some of these titles are already confirmed to be arriving later in 2023, others are coming out next year, and everyone’s waiting to see if Skull and Bones gets yet another delay. We’ve rounded up all the information below on when you can catch the Ubisoft Forward presentation and what you can expect from it.

When is Ubisoft Forward?

Ubisoft Forward will air on June 12 from these times:

  • 10 AM PT
  • 1 PM ET
  • 5 PM CET
  • 6 PM BST
  • 3 AM AET (June 13)

Where to watch Ubisoft Forward

Like other showcases, Ubisoft Forward will be livestreamed through Ubisoft’s YouTube and Twitch channels.

What to expect from Ubisoft Forward

Assassin’s Creed Mirage

One of Ubisoft’s biggest games of 2023 is Assassin’s Creed Mirage, which has a confirmed release date of October 12. Ubisoft will likely get its marketing machine started for this game, so expect some dedicated time for this back-to-basics Assassin’s Creed game as it shifts into first gear.

After a dedicated livestream in April, it won’t be too surprising to see more details on several of Ubisoft’s upcoming Division games. Ubisoft has plenty to pick from with this IP, so there’s a chance that more details on new Year-5 content for The Division 2, The Division Resurgence for mobile devices, and The Division: Heartland could be revealed.

One of Ubisoft’s other best-selling games, Rainbow Six Siege, is also a regular on its livestreams, so there’s a strong chance that the PvP shooter will be in the spotlight again. Similar live-service games like For Honor and Rider’s Republic could also make a turn, as both titles have their own communities, and Far Cry has stuck to a strong biannual release schedule for core games in the series and spin-offs. If that tradition holds strong, then a first look at a new Far Cry spin-off for 2024 could be revealed here.

Ubisoft also has several other games in development, and it might finally show what its Star Wars game looks like ahead of its rumored 2024 release. There’s also Avatar: Frontiers of Pandora and XDefiant, and for gearheads, more details on The Crew: Motorfest recently leaked out. Another highly anticipated game that could be shown off is the Splinter Cell remake, and we already know that the virtual reality Assassin’s Creed Nexus game will be shown off at the event.

Skull and Bones might make a brief appearance, as there’s plenty of footage of the game that has already been released and Ubisoft has nothing to lose by reminding the world that it still exists. The big games that we probably won’t see at Ubisoft Forward include the oft-delayed remake of Prince of Persia: The Sands of Time, Assassin’s Creed Hexe, Assassin’s Creed Red, and Beyond Good and Evil 2, which has entered the vaporware vaults.
