It’s an attempt to out “Apple” Apple before they release Vision Pro. Facebook wasn’t releasing any content for hand tracking. Definitely no games. But now they are rushing to improve features so they can say, “Me too!”
Same as the fairly obvious announcement of Quest 3 exactly before the Vision Pro announcement. When it wasn’t the same time Facebook usually announces products. Then, trying to tell the community that it was just a coincidence. Nobody is fooled.
As for hand tracking, it’s great that multiple companies are trying to come up with accurate solutions that’s needed for future AR and VR applications. It’s not just one company.
