Disney Dreamlight Valley: Where To Find Scales

Disney Dreamlight Valley is home to tons of materials that can be used to craft a wide variety of cool decorations. Some of these materials, however, can be trickier than others to find, which can occasionally lead you to wander about feeling a bit frustrated. If you’re wondering where to get your hands on some Scales for your newest crafting projects, we’ll tell you everything you need to know below.

Where to get Scales in Disney Dreamlight Valley

When you’re ready to round up some Scales in Disney Dreamlight Valley, you’ll first need to be sure you’ve purchased the A Rift in Time expansion. Afterward, you’ll also need to have gained access to The Oasis, which is one of the areas within The Glittering Dunes biome. Unlocking this section of the map will cost you 6,000 Mist, so be prepared to do a bit of grinding if you’re still early in the expansion’s main quest.

Scales can be fished up in The Oasis.

Once you’ve unlocked The Oasis, head down to the lower end of the area and cast your line into the water being sure to avoid any ripples–meaning don’t let your hook land in any of the white, blue, or gold circles. Within a few casts, you should start bringing in Scales using this method. Keep at it to stock up on as many as you need.

While you’re out there fishing, check out where to find Plastic Scrap, too. For more on Disney Dreamlight Valley, check out our comprehensive guides hub.
