Dune: Part 2 Comes To MW3 And Warzone With Paul Atreides And Feyd-Rautha Operator Bundles

Dune: Part Two protagonist Paul Atreides is now available in Call of Duty: Modern Warfare III and Warzone, with his arch-enemy, the cunning Feyd-Rautha Harkonnen, slated to release on December 16.

Paul and Feyd-Rautha will be separate operator bundles, with the two in-game characters modeled from the respective actors, Timothée Chalamet and Austin Butler, who play them in the upcoming sci-fi epic. The Paul Atreides bundle comes with a special finishing move, a crysknife melee weapon, two gun skins, a weapon charm, an emblem, and a playercard. In addition to the operator bundles, a limited-time event, called Dune: Trial of Power, will let players claim additional rewards like the Sand & Spice weapon camo, a sandworm weapon charm, various emblems, weapon stickers, and playercards.

The battle for Dune has come to Call of Duty.

While Butler’s relationship with gaming is more of a mystery, it was discovered (after an exhaustive investigation in 2021 by Vice) that Chalamet once ran a YouTube channel called ModdedController360, where he would custom paint Xbox 360 controllers and highlight his work. Chalamet has since admitted to his old YouTube channel days and more recently embraced it. At The Game Awards 2023, where he revealed Baldur’s Gate 3 as the Game of the Year, he was introduced by host Geoff Keighley as ModdedController360.

Dune: Part Two was originally slated to release in October 2022 before being delayed to March 2023 amidst the now-resolved SAG-AFTRA strike. The film will now release on March 1.

A new trailer for Dune: Part Two recently gave fans their best look yet at the massive battle for Arrakis that will serve as the conclusion to director Denis Villeneuve’s two-part film, as the native Fremen, led by Paul, engage the Emperor’s Sarduakar soldiers (who were also offered as a Call of Duty operator bundle) from atop massive sandworms. Villeneuve has floated the idea of a Dune: Part Three, which would adapt the second book in author Frank Herbert’s sci-fi series, Dune: Messiah.
