It may have started life as a Harvest Moon spin-off, but the Rune Factory series has managed to carve out a niche all its own. Combining life sim mechanics such as farming and fishing with deep RPG chops, Rune Factory is great series for those who want their life sims to have a little more action. Now’s a great time to dive into the world of Rune Factory, as the highly reviewed Rune Factory 3 Special: Limited Edition is now available for its lowest-ever price.

Rune Factory 3 Special: Limited Edition for Nintendo Switch is currently listed for just $35 (down from $70). Along with the base game, this bundle includes a bunch of collectibles, such as a soundtrack CD, a planner, an acrylic standee, and exclusive packaging for all the goodies. We’ve rarely seen the collection discounted to a price this good, and it’s unlikely to stick around for long.

Rune Factory 3 Special: Limited Edition

If the limited edition sells out, you’ll find the Rune Factory 3 Special standard edition for $20 (down from $30). You won’t get any of the collectibles, but this is currently the cheapest way to check out the charming RPG.

Once you’ve worked your way Rune Factory 3 Special, you can keep the life sim fun rolling with Rune Factory 4 and Rune Factory 5. The former isn’t on sale (but it’s listed for just $50), while the latter is seeing nice discounts at Amazon. The exclusive Earthmate Edition–which includes tons of collectibles–is available from third-party resellers for around $90, while the standard edition of Rune Factory 5 is $20 (down from $30).

Rune Factory 3 and Rune Factory 4 are enhanced ports with more content than the original 3DS versions. They also feature improved graphics, making them the best way to sink dozens of hours into these role-playing sims. Amazon isn’t listing end dates for these price cuts, so check them out soon if you’re interested.
