This is coming from The Gamer (you know, one of Valnet’s massive content farms) so let’s all take it with a massive grain of salt. That being said, while I think its important that developers get the recognition they deserve in place of giant corporations, the pendulum definitely swings both ways.
Let’s say, hypothetically, Mario & Luigi Brothership was being developed by a new, less experienced studio that Nintendo had acquired or put faith into; you just know every media site, including The Gamer would be running headlines like, “Mario & Luigi being worked on by a small studio with no experience, and we should all be worried.”
Nintendo knows how to play the media game.
