Instagram will now let you pummel your followers with multiple songs in a Reel.
In a post on Wednesday, the social media company announced a feature that lets you add up to 20 tracks in one Reel. Instagram also added the ability to make text, stickers, and clips align with your audio when you’re editing a Reel, a feature long available on competitor TikTok.

Notably, when you add multiple tracks to a Reel, Instagram will generate “your own unique audio mix that will be attributed to you.” Instagram adds that “your fans can save and reuse your audio mixes.”
It’s one of a number of changes you may have seen on Instagram of late, including AI labels, a new ‘prompts’ feature and ‘reveal’ sticker, chatbot versions of creators, and deeply unpopular unskippable ads. The feature could also be another way to satiate and support creators; Instagram pissed off creators last year when it shut down its Reels Play Bonus, but this year the platform has announced several initiatives to get back in creator good books.
