Bodies Bodies Bodies director Halina Reijn takes a steamy turn with her A24 erotic thriller Babygirl, with Nicole Kidman in the lead.
Having created significant buzz at Venice International Film Festival and ready to hit cinemas during the holidays, Babygirl is sure to get people talking — especially if the trailer is anything to go by. Mashable entertainment editor Kristy Puchko called it “one of the sexiest, most thrilling films of the year.”
Babygirl sees Kidman as Romy, a powerful CEO who tumbles into an affair with her intern Samuel (Triangle of Sadness‘ Harris Dickinson). He’s significantly younger than her, but wields a penchant for sussing out Romy’s desire for dom/sub dynamics.
As Romy explores her suppressed wants and needs, her whole world could fall apart if her husband (Antonio Banderas), daughters (Esther McGregor and Vaughan Reilly), or assistant (Talk to Me‘s Sophie Wilde) find out exactly what Romy and Samuel have been up to.
Babygirl is coming to cinemas Dec. 25. Read Mashable’s review.
