Treasure maps in Avowed provide you with an image to try and track down some unique loot, somewhere in each region. In Galawain’s Tusks, you can acquire the Ancient Arrowhead treasure map, found in the Writhing Ruins in the southern part of the map, in the same area that the Mater Mare bounty target can be found, looted from a skeleton in the bounty boss arena. With the treasure map, you can set out to find the hidden loot. Note: You will need three lock picks to open the chest with the treasure.
Where to find the Ancient Arrowhead treasure
The Ancient Arrowhead treasure can be found in a locked chest on a ledge east of Warden’s Rest in the Salt Flat Farms area. In this area there is a cave leading down, but the treasure is not down there. You need to climb around the ledge here while staying on top of the cliff. If you start from the northern area, it’s pretty easy to wrap around the rocks to find the chest.
The chest contains the Scout’s Reach, which will complete the quest once collected. This trinket gives you +3 perception when worn. Trinkets cannot be upgraded or improved via enchantment, so if you don’t want that bonus, you can sell it for 600 gold, or throw it in your stash to maybe use later. The chest also includes various upgrade materials, as well.
