I think this highlights why retail and physical is important. Outside of the dollar store PlayStation 2 and Wii games you are never going to encounter asset flips and shoddy releases at a proper gaming retail store.
I can’t recall a time where there wasn’t some real scummy games on digital storefronts outside of the first maybe 2 months when Xbox and PlayStation started selling games digitally.
Today it feels laboureous and tiring navigating even just the on sale categories in all digital storefronts between the low quality shovelware the outright scams and the million editions of a single game and it’s thousands of monetisation packs just seeing games is a chore.
I’d prefer a filter to select game by Capcom or game by Sega as a example
