Nintendo consoles are manufactured in Vietnam. Yesterday, the US President announced a 46% tarrift on goods imported from Vietnam.
If we do the math, the switch 2 console was announced at $450 and the new tarrifts will take that price to $657. Of course that is the based on the cost the consumer has to pay but realistically, the tarrifts would be 46% of what the retailers pay when they buy the consoles from Nintendo. So the price will likely be $600 to $650 unless something is done.
