Wuchang’s Inner Demon
Last but not least, we definitely have to talk about the Inner Demon in Wuchang: Fallen Feathers. This doppelganger spawns at specific areas in the game, but it can also appear if you perish while at full/maximum Madness.
If you return to the area where your character died, you should see the Inner Demon waiting for you. It holds all the Red Mercury that you dropped, which means you must defeat it if you want to recover your hard-earned resources. But, if you fail, then all that Red Mercury will be lost forever.
Note that the Inner Demons that spawn in specific areas may drop Stone Needles. These items are needed for Temper Acupoint upgrades.
