I rarely buy games at full price anymore — not because I don’t love gaming, but because so many titles launch incomplete and rely on post-release patches to feel finished.
I’m really interested in the Mafia and Metal Gear Solid remakes, but I’m willing to wait until they drop below $30. And honestly, waiting has multiple advantages:
You get a better price
You benefit from patches and updates driven by actual player feedback
And once the hype goes down after launch, it becomes easier to see the game for what it truly is — strengths, flaws, and all
At launch, even reviews aren’t always reliable. It’s not about dishonesty — it’s just human nature. The excitement around big titles can cloud judgment, even for seasoned reviewers.
