One of the easiest ways you can protect and monitor your home is to install a video doorbell. While older models required some wiring, and they weren’t always compatible with older homes, wireless versions have become more of the norm, offering a more seamless experience that makes installation a breeze. This model from Wyze does just that, and it’s also packed with excellent features.

What makes the Wyze Battery Video Doorbell great?

There are a lot of different video doorbell options, but the Wyze separates itself from the pack by having a 1:1 aspect ratio that allows you to see everything that’s outside your door. Now, you might be saying that all video doorbells accomplish this, but a 150°×150° ultra-wide view allows users to clearly see packages and other small things that are on the ground.

You can install this doorbell without using any cables, or if you want it permanently powered, you can always wire it with your existing cables. The benefit of having it wired is that you can enable 24/7 recording if you want. If you’re going with the wireless option, you can expect up to six months of use between charges, and charging is done through USB-C.

There’s two-way communication and color night vision. Once you install the app, you can easily monitor the video feed, and you’ll get notifications on any connected devices when someone rings the doorbell or there’s something worth looking at. You can also keep your files local or pay for cloud service.

It’s a great device if you want some added security. At this price, we think it’s worth picking up. So, get it while you can.
