Logitech G has a new keyboard for players who treat their desk setup like a side quest. The G512 X TMR Analog/Mechanical Gaming Keyboard caters to anyone who enjoys fine-tuning every part of their gear, from how a keypress behaves to how the lighting hits the desk. It brings analog control, swappable switches, programmable actions, dual dials, and a bold RGB lightbar into one highly tweakable board.
How much control can one keypress have?
The biggest feature is the TMR-powered analog input. On most keyboards, a key triggers a command once it reaches a fixed point. The G512 X can read how far down a key has been pressed, which gives players more control over certain actions.
For example, in a racing game, a lighter press could be used for gentle steering or acceleration, while a deeper press could trigger a stronger input. In a flight simulator, the same idea could help with smoother movement. In shooters, players could set up layered commands depending on how far they press a key.

Additionally, players can assign two actions to a single keypress using Multipoint Action through the Logitech G HUB software. A light press can perform one action, and a deeper press can perform another. The keyboard comes with Second Actuation Pressure Point rings (SAPP), which provide a tactile bump at the second trigger point, so players can feel when the second input is about to register instead of relying only on timing.
How much can you customize?
The G512 X supports both analog and mechanical switches through its hybrid switch beds, allowing users to decide which keys use analog input and which stick to a standard mechanical setup. The keyboard is compatible with a range of popular analog switches, along with both 3-pin and 5-pin mechanical options.
It ships with nine Gateron KS-20 analog switches, five SAPP rings, and keycap pullers. Logitech has also added storage on the back of the keyboard, so these small accessories have a proper place when they are not being used.

Two customizable dials can be assigned to different controls, such as volume, scrolling, brightness, or in-game commands. The RGB lightbar adds a flashier look with slash-style lighting effects, and buyers also get to pick up an acrylic palm rest, which can sync with the RGB lights of the keyboard.
The G512 X comes in black and white. It is available from LogitechG.com starting April 28, 2026, and reaches select global retailers from May 2. Pricing starts at $179.99 for the 75 layout and $199.99 for the 98 layout.
