Leaks of Maximum Security Cities Spark Lore Conversations in the Helldivers 2 Community

With the Battle for Super Earth behind us, and the whole new bot arc (maybe even Cyberstan), many Helldivers noted that the Terminids deserve some love, too. Well, when the latest leaks revealed Maximum Security Cities on the bug front, the Helldivers 2 community couldn’t help but speculate what the future holds.

New Leaks Show Plans for Maximum Security Cities

As you know, there have been plenty of Helldivers 2 leaks over time. One of the most prolific leakers, IronS1ghts, surprised the community with some new details they discovered in the game. This time, the leaker found something that could be related to bugs.

They noted: “(Leak) Maximum Security Cities. At some point, we will be constructing three ‘Maximum Security Cities’, likely related to a Major Order story point”. This leaker added: “Right now it just looks to be lore related”.

As always, the OP shared some evidence of what they had found. There will be 3 Maximum Security Cities. New Hope City will be the flagship Maximum Security City. It’s described as “Impregnable to Tyranny; the future of the federation”. The other two are New Yearning City and New Aspiration City.

Helldivers 2 Players Suggest Possible Lore Importance of These Cities

Unfortunately, there’s no way of telling what these leaks of Maximum Security Cities mean lore-wise for Helldivers 2. The only thing that we can tell is that they are most likely on the bug front, and the slight yellow tint of the photo might indicate these cities are in the Gloom.

Many players noticed that same thing. One of them, Crostobal Vatidico, suggested: “Maybe gloom cities? Like fortress to retake the gloom areas”. Crazed Milk Man added: “By ‘maximum security’ are we keeping the enemy out, or are we keeping something locked in?”.

Some players suggested these cities would have more SEAF troops and maybe even SAM sites. MUGEN stated: “It better have tall a** walls with turrets on them, spotlights, and at least a few SAMs. The current colonies and cities are severely lacking in GUN. Here’s hoping the actual city of GUN actually has GUNS”.

What do you think? We can’t wait to see what the devs have prepared, as every new story arc has felt quite fresh lately. In the meantime, let’s try to complete the Major Order. The Oasis defense failed, so join us on Tarsh, let’s spill some oil together. For Liberty and SUper Earth.
