Android 17 Beta 4.1 finally fixes the Pixel problems folks have been complaining about

Well, there are a lot of interesting ones, but we’ll list them below verbatim from the Android Developer website so you can pick out the things that matter to you most.

Personally, the one that stands out is the update that will fix the status bar issue, where it wasn’t showing proper signal coverage. The Bluetooth routing issue will also be a nice fix, along with the hearing aids being able to properly connect to devices once paired.

Much like past beta updates, you need to be enrolled in the beta program to take part. When it comes to eligible devices, the Pixel 6 and above are supported when it comes to smartphones. The beta can also be installed on the Pixel Tablet. If you’re interested, we recommend giving it a try.

It’s a great way to explore new features before they hit public channels. However, betas aren’t perfect, so there is a chance you might run into some issues here and there. If so, we recommend you report them so that they can get flagged and fixed. And for those willing to wait, we can only hope that Android 17 will arrive sooner rather than later.

Just last month, Google showcased what it’s working on at its I/O developer conference. If you haven’t had the chance to check out all the news, we recommend watching the opening keynote at the very least, or you can follow our coverage to get the more interesting details from the event.
