Your Pixel Watch 4’s LTE keeps dropping? You’re not alone

The Pixel Watch 4 is one of the best smartwatches you can buy, but it isn’t without its issues, mainly coming from a bunch of software bugs that have plagued it since launch. The good news is that Google has been issuing updates to fix the Pixel Watch 4’s problems; the bad news is that it looks like another issue has popped up that affects the LTE connection on the watch.

Here we go again

Per usual, this problem comes from Reddit, with a user sharing their experience with the Pixel Watch 4 (via Android Authority). According to the post, the Pixel Watch 4 will connect to LTE when away from the phone. The user will have to power cycle the device in order to get it working, which, as you can imagine, isn’t the most ideal scenario.

The user reached out to Google, but it doesn’t sound like a solid solution was provided. While these can be isolated incidents, the comments section does show a few people chiming in with the same issue. One user just puts the Pixel Watch 4 into airplane mode, then takes airplane mode off to get it working again.

That’s certainly much better than turning the watch on and off each time to get it to connect to LTE. But for now, it looks like just a few people have shared the experience, so it could be something extremely minor. When it comes to LTE connectivity, it relies on cellular data, so it could have something to do with the carrier providing service as well.

Of course, if this turns out to be something major, you can bet that Google will fix it at some point. If you’re a Pixel Watch 4 owner, let us know in the comments if you’ve experienced something like this. Although we love the current model, it’s getting to that time again when we can start thinking about the upcoming model.

While nothing has been announced, Google typically launches new hardware in the summer. That means that just a couple of months from now, we might even see a new Pixel Watch. What do you want to see on this upcoming model? What can Google do to differentiate its products from its competitors?
