Google’s Voice Translate was a pretty big deal when it first launched on the Pixel 10 and Pixel 10 Pro. The powerful feature used on-device translation in live phone conversations to make communicating with people in another language feel seamless. As you can imagine, this was a huge help for some, especially those who travel to new parts of the world on a regular schedule.
And while it is an incredibly valuable tool, it was only available on the Pixel 10 and Pixel 10 Pro models, meaning folks with the Pixel 10a or older Pixel devices were left out in the cold. Luckily, for the former, Voice Translate is now making its debut, giving a new set of users access to one of the best tools that you can find on Pixel 10 series phones.

With the release of Google’s June Pixel Drop, Pixel phones across the board are getting new and important features. And while many are obvious thanks to Google’s highlights in the My Pixel app, others are a bit more hidden. Luckily, it looks like Android Authority has picked up on something not in the notes, sharing that Voice Translate is now available on the Pixel 10a.
Voice Translate is accessible by heading to the Phone app, Settings, and activating Voice Translate. While this is fantastic news, Google does share that supported languages are limited to French, German, Hindi, Italian, Portuguese, and Spanish. So, if you’re going to have some conversations, make sure that the language is supported before you begin.
What else is part of the June Pixel Drop?
In addition to Voice Translate, the Pixel 10a now has access to Screen Reactions, Bubbles, a music creation tool, and Gemini Omni. Screen Reactions will let creators record themselves reacting to anything that’s on the Google Pixel screen. While Bubbles provides quick access to user’s favorite apps by keeping them available onscreen as small bubbles.
The best part about this feature is that it makes it really easy to multitask. And it gets even better if you have a foldable phone with a large screen. The music creation tool isn’t meant for anything too serious, but it will allow users to make tunes using Gemini. These tracks can then be sent to friends in chat or be used for other purposes.
Gemini Omni is a powerful tool that will allow you to make videos using AI. You will need a Google AI Pro or Plus subscription, but you can make videos from scratch, remix some existing footage you have, or utilize the templates already available. For the most part, folks should be pretty excited about this latest update.
You can now get it on your Pixel phone, with the update rolling out to all compatible handsets. You can head into the Settings menu, System section, and select Software updates to get the process started. It might tell you that your device is up-to-date, but I’d recommend tapping the System Update tab just to have it search for the June Pixel Drop.
