Samsung’s development for One UI 9 continues this week, as reports state another beta is rolling out for its flagships.
This update seems to be restricted to only a few regions. According to SamMobile, One UI 9 Beta 3 is rolling out for the Galaxy S26 series as vS94xBXXU3ZZF7. The patch is quite substantial at 1.7GB. However, the publication states this patch is “available in select markets,” like South Korea, the U.K., Poland, and India. This update comes with Samsung’s June 2026 security patch to keep testers up-to-date.
The changelog mostly informs users of the fixes Samsung is rolling out. The company states it’s rolling out a fix for a device reboot that would occur while streaming videos. Another fix rolls in for a white screen issue that would appear when taking a call on the Galaxy S26.
Background issue fixes continue, as Samsung highlights solving a black background problem when pulling down the status bar. The Files app receives a fix, so now users can finally see a complete list of what’s stored on their device, instead of getting stopped partway. The remainder of the patch notes is as follows:
- Improved focus accuracy when using 30x camera zoom
- Fixed an issue where the home screen would not swipe left or right when using the pen
- Fixed an issue where widget information, such as weather and battery on the lock screen, was not updating correctly
- Fixed an issue where part of the camera preview screen was cropped under certain conditions
- Improved errors related to the privacy display when setting routines or toggling the Quick Panel ON/OFF

Samsung’s been wasting no time in preparing its next major OS update. Its Android 17-based software got underway in May, then we received Beta 2 late that same month. This update was also quite large at 1.6GB, and its patch notes were no different than what we’re seeing today. Samsung continues to implement bug fixes as it fine-tunes its software ahead of release. A Good Lock module (LockStar) received a fix late last month, solving a lock screen clock issue.
Another fix concerned users attempting to delete messages in bulk. Originally, reports discussed new features in One UI 9. It looks like Samsung is working on linking its Contacts app and the Creative Studio, alongside customization tools in the Notes app.

Beta 3 is here, and it feels like Samsung’s working to meet a deadline. We’re kind of expecting Samsung to reveal One UI 9 later this summer, right around Unpacked for its foldables. If that’s going to be the case, then it makes sense that it’s working tirelessly to get things ready. Samsung’s summer event is usually held in July, and we’re expecting that this year.
