This is the portable speaker you need this summer that’s not going to hurt your wallet

Summer is finally underway, which hopefully means more time outdoors, relaxing with friends and family. Of course, if you’re someone who likes to explore the world solo, that’s okay too. However you choose to spend your time, music is going to always be a great companion.

And while headphones and earbuds are good, a Bluetooth speaker can be an entirely new experience. And while there are lots of products in this category, we think the Bose SoundLink Flex is going to be a solid choice.

Even better at its discounted price

When we reviewed this speaker, we thought the sound was good, it was easy to use, and it offered durable construction. Perhaps one of the major complaints was that it just cost too much for what it was. The $149 wasn’t easy on the wallet, and it didn’t offer any compelling reasons to cost so much.

Now, with this big 40% discount from Amazon, the speaker provides impressive value, coming in at just $89. The most important quality of any speaker is going to be the sound, and the Bose SoundLink Flex delivers. Despite its small size, the speaker can broadcast impressive and complex sound, even in larger spaces.

And just in case you’re thinking about taking it into the wild, the speaker does have an IP67 rating. For the most part, at this price, you can’t go wrong here. It’s a good speaker at a great price.

The second-generation Bose SoundLink Flex doesn’t change much from the first iteration, but, in fairness, it’s starting from a strong position. Snapdragon Sound and a new Shortcut button are the main additions, and neither will justify an upgrade. But for anyone who doesn’t own the original, this offers fantastic sound in a slim, sturdy package. It’s a bit pricey at retail, costing $149, but this new discount drops it to just $89, which is just in time for summer.
