Season 5 arrives in Call of Duty: Black Ops 7 and Warzone on July 23, and Activision has detailed the four new weapons you can earn throughout the season. Season 5 adds a new assault rifle, light machine gun, dual SMGs, and a new melee weapon. In this guide, we’ll detail all of the new Season 5 weapons in Call of Duty and how you can unlock them for free.
Content-wise, Season 5 of Call of Duty features new multiplayer maps, and one of them puts players inside a pinball machine themed around Nuketown. Zombies is getting smaller maps at the launch of the season, but the final round-based map will arrive with the midseason update. For Warzone, the Heavy Metal Heroes limited-time mode returns in battle royale. The Season 5 battle pass features the return of Spectre from Black Ops 3 and 4.
If you miss the unlock window for any weapon on this list, it will be added to the Armory section of the Black Ops 7 and Warzone menus. This will let you complete a different unlock challenge to earn the weapon. This also applies to any of the weapons or loadout items you might’ve missed from previous seasons of Black Ops 7.
FG42
The FG42 is described as a full-auto assault rifle designed to be well-rounded with average accuracy, mobility, and power.
How to unlock the FG42: This gun is unlocked as an HVT reward on page three of the Season 5 battle pass.

The Gremlin is described as a full-auto, dual-wield submachine gun with great mobility and handling. This akimbo-style weapon is designed to dish out rapid-fire damage at close range, but is limited at range by lack of aim-down-sights ability.
How to unlock the Gremlin: This gun is unlocked as an HVT reward on page six of the Season 5 battle pass.

This prestige attachment is a lightweight barrel outfitted with deadly spikes that can eliminate enemies in a single melee attack. It also offers faster movement speeds.
Mammoth
The Mammoth is a full-auto light machine gun. It features twin reciprocating barrels that provide massive damage with manageable recoil, balanced by a slow rate of fire, mobility, and handling.
How to unlock the Mammoth: This gun is unlocked as a reward for an event arriving later in the season.

This prestige attachment is a specialized barrel that removes pre-fire delay and movement penalties when firing. It will improve your ADS movement speed, spread, and recoil, but it will take longer to aim-down-sights with this attachment.
Mace
The mace is described as a melee weapon with high damage, long range, and slow attack speed.
How to unlock the mace: This melee weapon will be available to unlock as one of the weekly challenge rewards during Season 5.
