Although Google first introduced Find Hub in 2025, it has been a part of Android in some shape or form since 2013. It’s been improved and refined to the point where folks can really trust it. And that’s an essential part of a service like this, because if you can’t find what you’re looking for, then there’s really no point.
Of course, it’s not perfect. There are still many things that need to be fixed for some people to really dive in, like better tracking accuracy, improved security, and other smaller refinements to the software. The good news is that Google is now making one small change that could make a world of difference for Find Hub users.
Prepare to remove old hardware
This post on Reddit shows the Find Hub app with a new ability called “Remove from Find Hub” (via Android Authority). And it does just what it says, offering users the ability to remove all devices from Find Hub. This is perfect if you have an old phone or tablet on there that you no longer use, or a tracker that got lost.
And from the looks of the Reddit post, folks are absolutely ecstatic that this feature is now available. I mean, imagine having a device you no longer use in Find Hub for years without a way to remove it. If you’re someone who has a lot of old hardware on the Find Hub app, now’s going to be the time to check to see if this option is available to you.
Never tried it? Well, it’s a good time to start
I’m pretty careful, but I remember, a few years back, losing my earbuds and not realizing that they were missing until about 20 minutes later. While I instinctively started to backtrack, looking everywhere frantically, I then realized that I could just locate them with pinpoint accuracy.

You will need to purchase compatible hardware, as not every device has tracking features built in. You never really know when you’re going to lose something, but it’s always great when you have some way to track the item.
