Nothing is doubling its phone lineup in 2027, and the US is a priority

Nothing is a phone company that deserves a lot more attention, and now OnePlus is gone, the way is open for Nothing to make a big impact on the US market.

While early indications said Nothing wouldn’t take advantage of the gap left in the market, the company’s co-founder Akis Evangelidis has come out and stated the opposite (via Android Authority). In fact, Nothing may be looking to drastically increase its US offerings, especially in the audio market.

Expect twice as many Nothing phones in 2027

Far from Nothing

Speaking to Times Now News, Evangelidis stated that Nothing is looking to release twice the amount of phones in 2027 from 2026. Given this year’s releases include the Nothing Phone (4a), Phone (4a) Pro and Phone (4b), that means Nothing is aiming to release at least six phones next year.

While not an enormous number of lines to a company like Samsung, it’s a big expansion of business for a smaller company like Nothing, and it shows business must be going well.

Key to this expansion will the Indian market, but Evangelidis also highlighted the US market as being one that Nothing is making a priority. As Nothing sees it, the US is a market with an enormous lack of options, and the company sees that as a big opportunity, for phones, but also for audio products.

It’s not hard to see why Nothing thinks this. With the withdrawal of so many phone brands from the US, buyers have never had it so poor before. Now OnePlus has gone, US buyers have even fewer options to pick from, and Nothing could make serious hay in an environment like that.

Not that Nothing is a stranger to the US market. The Nothing Phone (4a) Pro released in the US, but it’s always something of a lottery whether a new phone will come to the US or not. An expansion of Nothing’s phone offerings could mean a lot more Nothing phones being available in the US.

They make good phones too

While it’s entirely possible Nothing has skipped you by, it’s a company that’s definitely worth checking out.

It made a big impact on the market when it released its first phone, thanks to the Glyph lighting system that turned the phone’s entire back panel into a flashlight.

Far from just a gimmick, Nothing’s Glyph system can be used as a flashlight, a camera flash, notification LED, and even a meter to show how full your battery is.

Later phones have moved on from the Glyph lighting system, and have embraced the Glyph Matrix, a small dot-matrix display on the back panel that can be customized to show the time, notifications, or any of a number of options.

But most importantly, Nothing makes very good phones. Our reviewer Andy Boxall has consistently enjoyed his time with all of Nothing’s recent phones, particularly praising their quirky natures.

If you love a phone with a difference, then Nothing is worth paying attention to — especially if it’s looking to expand more into the US market.
