The Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 8 is making its retail debut on August 7. That means that preorder promotions are going to be going away if the past is any indication. So, if you’re thinking about picking one up, we’d recommend grabbing it now before things change. Just to be clear, not all promotions are going away, but there’s a pretty good chance that contract-free offers will most likely change.
Samsung with a $200 credit
The retail price of the phone starts at $1,900, but you can now get an instant credit of $200 when you pick up the phone. You won’t be able to apply this to the phone’s purchase, but you can pick up some nice accessories to go with the phone, like a Galaxy Watch Ultra 2, Galaxy Watch 9, cases, or even earbuds. You choose what works best for you. You can also get up to $1,200 if you’re looking to trade in a phone.

The Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 8 has a 4:3 aspect ratio open screen, making it great for video and reading books, and when closed the device is compact, with apps on the cover screen appearing normally. It joins Samsung’s Galaxy Z Fold 8 Ultra, which has a more traditional tall-and-thin design.
Amazon with a $350 gift card
In my opinion, this is one of the best promotions out right now for the Z Fold 8. It doesn’t require any contract, and you still get a monster $350 gift card that you can use on Amazon for any future purchase. Plus, if you have a phone to trade in, Amazon will give you an extra $300 credit right now on top of the current value.

You can also go through carries, but these deals should stay in place until the end of the month. T-Mobile has a pretty strong offer when signing up for service, along with AT&T and Verizon. If you’re a current Google Fi customer, the carrier is also offering a pretty substantial discount with very little downside. You’ll still want to act fast though, because promotions can change and supplies can run out. This is the largest foldable release, and could be one of the biggest launches for Samsung in a long time.
