Motorola reveals which phones will get stable Android 17 update

Lenovo’s official blog for Spain has shared a list of Motorola phones set to receive the Android 17 upgrade:

The blog notes that the stable release has already begun rolling out to the Motorola Edge 2025 and will gradually expand to other models over the coming weeks and months. Motorola’s premium foldables and flagships, including the Razr 70 series, Razr 60 series, and Edge 70 lineup, are slated to receive priority.

As users found out, Motorola’s Android 17 release introduces notable user interface refinements to Motorola’s HelloUI skin. Beta builds highlight a Dynamic Island-style implementation for Live Updates centered around the front camera cutout, an upgraded Moto AI assistant named Qira, and overhauled system haptics. Users can also expect resizable quick tiles, lock screen customization options, a Pixel-style volume panel, tinted app icons, and an updated app drawer grid.

While stable Over-The-Air builds will be deployed in batches by region and carrier, users looking to try the software early can apply for beta slots through Motorola’s community forums. Once the stable build lands on your device, you can install it by going to Settings > System > System updates. As standard practice, ensure your device is backed up and charged to at least 50% before upgrading.
