I adore being able to work from anywhere as a writer, but I quickly found that being confined to a measly laptop screen is far from ideal. I added the ASUS ZenScreen portable monitor to my on-the-go setup a few years back, and it has dramatically improved my mobile workstation.

The only real concern I’ve had since owning the ASUS ZenScreen is how fragile it feels. It’s super slim at 10.5mm and can easily fit into a backpack, but I’d recommend grabbing a separate case or sleeve for it. I purchased a 15-inch laptop bag and slipped it inside there with its included cable for extra protection, and I’ve never had any issues — and this thing has traveled thousands of miles with me over the last few years.
Having dual screens while working on the go is a game-changer. And it’ll only set you back less than $95 if you act fast.
