So you close the app and settle for whatever’s actually included in your subscription instead.
Apple TV Plus just made that whole dilemma disappear for a solid chunk of its classic movie catalog. The service, usually known for its slate of original shows and movies, just added a batch of classic titles that are normally rent-or-buy purchases, and they’re now streaming free for anyone with a subscription. You’ll find them tucked into a new “Great Movies Available Now on Apple TV” carousel inside the Apple TV app.

It’s not clear yet whether this is permanent or a limited-time thing. Apple tried something similar a few years ago, and it didn’t stick around, so it might be worth getting started before these titles go behind a paywall again.
