Henri Matisse’s work is instantly recognizable — bold colors and shapes that feel alive.
Late in life, illness left Matisse bed- or wheelchair-bound, unable to paint like before. So he picked up the scissors, cutting shapes from painted paper and arranging them into compositions by hand — what he called “painting with scissors.”

Casetify’s new collection draws straight from that story. The “Jazz & Cut-Outs” collection draws on Matisse’s Jazz series, a body of work centered on rhythm, movement, and improvisation that mirrors the syncopated feel of jazz music itself.
