The second wave of games for Xbox Game Pass in August has been revealed, and this month, you can check out a few day-one releases amongst the releases. Several of these games will also be available through Game Pass Premium, as the library of that tier continues to expand.
Xbox Game Pass August wave 2 games
In terms of new releases, Ultimate subscribers can grab Vapor World: Over the Mind, Blood Dungeon, and Resonance: A Plague Tale. Vapor World: Over the Mind will be released through the Game Preview program, and it’s described as a narrative-driven souls-like platformer focused on deflection combat. Blood Dungeon is a new 2D platformer from the creators of Nidhogg, while Resonance: A Plague Tale Legacy is a big departure from the previous Plague Tale games.

Egging On, a game about guiding a delicate egg through perilous levels, is now available through Xbox Game Pass Premium, and it’ll be joined by BlazBlue Entropy Effect X, Relooted, Starsand Island, Aerial Knight’s Dropshot, and Young Guns throughout the rest of August.

As a reminder, Game Pass will also lose four games on August 31, including CD Projekt Red’s hit fantasy game The Witcher 3: The Wild Hunt. Microsoft has also confirmed that NBA 2K26 will exit Game Pass on September 6.
