New GameHub update brings mod support for PC games to your Android phone

GameHub made a splash in early 2025 as it joined Winlator as one of the few PC game “emulators” on Android. We’ve since seen rival apps like GameNative make massive strides and become the preferred solution, but the GameHub team is back with a new update.

GameSir announced GameHub v6.2.0 on Discord today, and it brings several notable features. Perhaps the biggest addition is mod support, allowing users to mod Steam titles and locally imported games. This coincidentally comes a while after GameNative first implemented mod integration.

The team has also implemented controller customization, saying that the app supports “key/mouse mapping with cloud sharing.” We’re guessing this means you can import your controller layouts when you switch devices, although it would be great if you could share them with others.

What else to know about this GameHub update?

We’ve also got improved Steam integration, with GameSir touting quick access to friends, achievements, the Steam Workshop, and more. Finally, the game library has been redesigned and is now divided by platform/store.

You can otherwise expect fixes for a component loading issue, cloud saves not syncing properly, and “various bugs and stability issues.”

This is the first GameHub update in a while, with the last one arriving back in June. This update brought a Steam overlay, Workshop support, an overhauled compatibility rating system, and custom install locations.

These updates also come after several allegations that GameSir was copying code from the community without crediting developers. The company later told us that it had “no comment” regarding these claims. Nevertheless, between GameHub, GameNative, Winlator, and Winlator Ludashi, there’s no shortage of ways to run PC games on your Android device.
