Are you eager to defeat Brencis early in The Blood of Dawnwalker? Unlike other role-playing games, this one happens to let you complete your main objective as soon as you’d like. That said, it’s going to be a tall order. Oh, and before we continue, do take note that this article contains spoilers.

Beating Brencis and the Boyars Early

If you want to beat The Blood of Dawnwalker’s campaign early, then you have to rush all the way to Greifberg Castle. Here’s a quick summary:

  • After completing the prologue and leaving Laslea Glen, follow the road that leads to the south.
  • Eventually, you’ll see a massive city and a fortress on a hill. It’s none other than the capital, Svartrau City. The fortress, meanwhile, is called Greifberg Castle.
  • Enter the city and follow the path to the east. It should bring you to the gates of the castle, which bar the way.

Note: When you approach the castle gate, you’ll receive a prompt notifying you about the point of no return.

You’ll receive a warning about the point of no return.

How to enter Greifberg Castle early

So, you think you’re ready to beat Brencis early in The Blood of Dwanwalker? Well, if so, you can go ahead and infiltrate Greifberg Castle. Make sure it’s nighttime so that you automatically switch to a vampire. (You may also pick the “Wait” command when interacting with a fast travel shrine.)

As a vampire, use Shadowstep to climb on the large rocks outside the castle gate. Then, teleport to the wall and scale it. As soon as you’re at the top of the walls, a cutscene will play.

You can easily climb to the top of the walls using Shadowstep and Planeshift.

What to expect once you’re inside Greifberg Castle

Things are going to be rough once you’re inside Greifberg Castle. Here’s what awaits you:

  • At the courtyard, you’ll face an Unblinking Blasphemy–i.e. flying golem boss.
  • There are numerous hostiles inside the fortress. These include regular soldiers, elite blood guards, and even spectral entities.
  • Since the other boyars/vampire lords are still alive, you’re going to face all of them as you make your way deeper into the facility. You’ll battle Ambrus, then Xanthe, and then Bakir.
  • There’s also a second Unblinking Blasphemy in the dungeons.
  • Finally, you’ll be up against the lord of Vale Sangora, Brencis.

Bosses like the Unblinking Blasphemy and Xanthe await you if you’re brave enough.

Note that Greifberg Castle is pretty much the campaign’s finale. As of the time of this writing, you won’t get to explore other places once you’ve finished the main objective. There’s no New Game Plus either.

That does it for our guide on what you can expect if you want to beat The Blood of Dawnwalker early. If you want some time to plan ahead, you can check our vampire healing guide and silver vendor guide.
