How To Use The Aniimo Nurturing Feature

Aniimo is a complex creature-catching game, and one of the big features of the world revolves around nurturing. This allows you to raise the Prismana Flow in the area, increase your chances of encountering special Aniimo, and more. You want to be utilizing the nurture feature early on in your playthrough, so you can progress faster and encounter more Aniimo types. In this guide, we’ll explain what nurturing means and how you can quickly level up this feature.

Nurturing system and blooms explained

Bloom icon

As you explore Idyll, you’ll encounter various nurturing blooms in the world. These blooms will be marked as a dark blue tulip-shaped icon on your map. Interacting with a bloom can allow you to trigger a “wild surge” of Aniimo that are native to that area of the map.

With a wild surge triggered, you will have a designated circle around you and tons of Aniimo will spawn. You are tasked with capturing all the Aniimo that appear within a specific time limit. If successful, the bloom releases Prismana Energy and increases the Prismatic Energy State of that specific map area.

Raising the Prismatic Energy State will increase your chance of a Prismana Aniimo appearing. This means you may encounter one early in your game, but you also need to complete several nurture attempts before reaching the required energy level.

How to Start a nurture

Nurture bloom

Interact with a nurture bloom, and choose the nurture option near the bottom-left of your screen. You can also check the Prismana Aniimo associated with an area through the map.

The silhouettes shown for each bloom on the map can also help you identify which Prismana Aniimo can appear within the area, which is helpful if you’re trying to collect a specific one.

Starting a Nurture typically requires Vain Essence Stones, but you also receive three free nurture charges each day. Once you use one, another charge will slowly recharge each day. It’s best to use your free charges each day so you don’t waste any opportunities to level without paying a cost.

Adding shards to nurture

Adding shards as tribute

Shards are special items that can be added as a tribute before nurturing a bloom. They come in different elemental types, and the type of shard you use affects which Aniimo can appear during the wild surge event. You’ll see the option in the bottom-right corner of your screen to add/remove a tribute.

Using one of these shards gives you more control over which Aniimo you encounter during the surge. A Grass Shard will attract the grass-type Aniimo in the area, while a Dark Shard will attract the dark-type creatures.

You can obtain shards in a few ways:

  • Scavenge them from vases, stumps, and other environmental items
  • Buy them from the shop vendor at the main outpost
  • Possibly earned through rewards

Collect Prismatic Energy after wild surges

Capturing Aniimos will slowly work to increase the Prismatic Energy State of the area, but completing wild surges from blooms is how you want to work to quickly raise the levels.

Interacting with a bloom after a successful wild surge will release a boost of Prismatic Energy to the area. This increase will not only give a chance for a Prismana Aniimo to spawn, but it can also give a chance to encounter evolved Aniimo or the “shiny” sparkling variants.

Nurturing menu

Completion of wild surges and leveling the Prismatic Energy State is a slow grind, but you’ll notice all bloom regions start out as “empty,” tasking you with fully raising the levels over time.

Prismatic Energy level colors are:

  • White (empty)
  • Green
  • Blue
  • Purple
  • Orange

As you reach higher levels, it costs more to nurture, but your chances of getting those rare spawns (Prismana, evolved, sparkling) increase as well.
